Saturday, November 24th Game Preview

25 games on the calendar.  Here we go…

Cretin Derham Hall at Woodbury

CDH gets a chance to come up for some air against Woodbury after scheduling Blake and Edina in two of their first three games.  Senior Bri Willier will be looking to add to her team leading 4 points. Junior Olivia Garrity is off to a nice start as well.  Ziegler at D is as steady as the come and has great vision. Emily King needs to get engaged and take advantage of the talent she has.  Kailie Smith has seen an average of almost 40 shots per game.  She will be thankful for some more help in the D zone this Thanksgiving weekend.

Woodbury has some nice young talent but their struggles will continue on Saturday.  They are 1-2 on the year with a season opening W over Rochester John Marshall followed by losses to Apple Valley and Stillwater.

CDH 5.  Woodbury 1.

Stillwater at Forest Lake

Stillwater takes their 2-1 record to Forest Lake to face the unbeaten Rangers.  Stillwater’s Haley Eder-Zdechlik has 6 points, junior Lauren Einen and sophomore Morgan Wohlers each have 5 points. As a team they are averaging 4 goals per game but they face their toughest competition of the year so far.

Forest Lake started the year with an exciting win over Minnetonka at the buzzer.  They thoroughly dominated Roseville in the 3 -1 win.  Ashley Mills leads the way with  4 points. Sydney Rydel, Brooke Remington, and Rachel Golnitz each have 3 points. Breija Parent has yet to show up in the box score.  She’s too good to shut down forever.  She finds her way onto the scoresheet with at least a couple points.

Forest Lake 5.  Stillwater 2.

Brainerd/Little Falls at Minnetonka

These two teams have played each of the last two seasons. B/LF has won both.  After starting the season with a loss B/LF has responded with 2 wins in a row scoring 13 goals total in those two.

Tonka just got their first win in the 4th game of the season over the young upstart BSM squad after starting the season 0-3.  They look to keep things heading in the right direction.

It’s hard to beat someone 3 times in a row.  Tonka 4.  B/LF 2.

Eden Prairie at Apple Valley

Blake kept Sydney Langseth and crew in check but Apple Valley isn’t Blake.

EP 5.  Apple Valley 2.

Centennial at Roseville

This game comes down to the goalie play.

Mackenna Stoterau Centennial vs Maddison Lehto Roseville

Lehto has been lights out.

Roseville 2. Centennial 1.
