Lakeville South at CDH
CDH won 6-2 but apparently they used the Pony Express to deliver the box score to the Strib and the snow storm has delayed the uploading of it. So I’ve got nuthin’.
**Updated**
Strib finally updated the box score. Although the final score was lopsided it looks as though the game was closer than the score indicated. Score was tied at 1s after the first. Shots favored LVS through the first two periods, 18-16. Unfortunately for Lakeville South Cretin scored 4 goals on 7 shots in the second to take a commanding 5-1 lead into the third. Each team traded goals in the third to make it a 6-2 final for CDH.
Lakeville South’s Lindsay Maloney assisted on the third period goal. CDH’s Cece Zeigler added an assist of her own. Emily King looks to have found her stride with 2 and 2 for CDH.
Warroad at Mounds View
Warroad had 52 shots on net in this game. Hannah Corneliusen got the scoring going for the Warriors in the first with the assist going to Cal Lindquist. This was her 11th goal in 7 games. Genevieve Hendrickson got one early in the second and Kaitlyn Kotlowksi added one in the third to give Warroad the 3-0 win.
Audrey Jackson couldn’t get anything going against the Warriors as they focused on trying to keep the puck out of their net rather than scoring goals. A pretty effective strategy as it kept the score close most of the game. Abbie Thompson got the start in net and played great. 49 saves on 52 shots.
Andover at Centennial
Centennial took the early lead and this game was tied at 2s at one point in the second but Andover scored 4 unanswered goals to pull away.
Andover D Kennedy Little got in on the action offensively scoring her second goal of the year. Hemp had 2 and 1. Halle Fields with 2 assists. Nelson with 1 and 1. Krause with 2 assists.
Centennial’s Allison Pitlick had an assist but Centennial’s offense couldn’t get it going later in the games and stalled out at just 2 goals. That won’t cut it against the Huskies.
