FRIDAY
Lakeville North at Eastview
So Eastview wins this one 2-1. The Lightning’s Avery Chesek scores a shorty it OT to win it. BUT…the Antonakis sisters of Lakeville North were not on the roster in the box score. Did they not play? If so, that explains the mild upset in this game. Any info would be appreciated.
Eastview goalie Lauren Johnson saved 36 of 37. LVN’s Nicole Smrekar saved 37 of 39 to answer who was going to replace Lackmann in net.
Eastview 2. LVN 1.
I already said that. Redundant, I know, but I didn’t want to mess up my format. Kinda OCD like that.
Notable Performances
Bemidji’s Nettie Kimble saved 28 of 30 to secure their upset of East Grand Forks.
Luverne’s Reghan Bork had 1 and 4. Her teammates Claire Baustian and Kamryn Van Batavia each had a hat trick in their 10-1 win over Morris Area/Benson
Lourdes’ Sarah Dravis had 4 goals in their 11-0 win over Red Wing.
Emma Rooks had the OT game winner for Rogers in their victory over Sartell/Sauk Rapids
Emma Fellman scored the OT game winner for Duluth in the 3-2 win over Hopkins/Park. 80 combined shots in this game.
SATURDAY
CDH at Blake
I will ask it again. How has Lily Delianides not been on a USA 18 National Team?! Seriously. She had 7 points. SEV. EN. Siete for our Mexican reader. That’s not a joke. My analytics showed I had a reader from Mexico last week. So that’s kinda cool. Addie Burton, Audrey Wethington, and Bailey Abraham each has 3 points. Grace Johnson is on pace for 50 goals in the regular season. She didn’t have any last year. That is also kinda cool.
CDH’s got some production from the forwards you would expect- Garrity, Ryan, and Geist. But it wasn’t enough.
Blake 7. CDH 3.
Warroad at Detroit Lakes
I set the over at 9.5. It was demolished.
Warroad 13. DL 0.
Stillwater at Hill Murray
WTF happened here?! I thought Stillwater was going to win. The Pioneers broke the Ponies. Hill’s Nina Steigauf got hers. 1 and 3 for her. Allie Franco had 1 and 2 from the blue line. And the Stinnett sisters answered my question of who was going to provide some additional offense.
Hill 6. Stillwater 1.
Maple Grove at Eden Prairie
I said Stella Retrum would probably contribute right away. She did. She scored MG’s third goal to give them a third period lead that didn’t quite last two minutes. EP’s Carrie Byrnes scored on the PP to tie it up and that is how it we ended even after some free hockey.
Sydney Langseth had 2 goals and Grace Kuipers assisted both of those goals for the Eagles. Lauren Stenslie and Jenna Timm each had 2 points for the Crimson.
EP 3. MG 3.
Notable Perfomances
Luverne outshot Prairie Center 58-1.
SSP’s Delaney Norman saved 31 of 31 in their 5-0 win over Delano/Rockford. D/R’s Grace Glasrud made 59 saves.
Cambridge-Isanti’s Jordan Millam made 57 saves in their 0-5 loss to Holy Family
Breck was up 10-0 and was outshooting 2A opponent Centennial 46-18…..after 2 periods.
Nicole McCabe had 4 and 1 in Minnesota River’s 9-1 win over Morris Area/Benson.
The Antonakis sisters are now at Gentry Academy.
#15 on D was also missing from the LVN box score.
