Friday, January 4th Game Preview

Not a ton of games tonight. Only 15. But there are some good ones. Here we go…

Blake at Breck

Blake is coming off it Schwan’s Cup championship where they beat Andover in an exciting final. Breck is coming off its runner up finish at the Walser Invitational where they beat Edina in the semifinals.

Blake has a high powered offense averging 5.80 GPG. Breck isn’t too far off pace averaging 4.67 GPG. Blake’s Lily Delianides is pretty good at hockey. She leads the Bears with 39 points. Blake wins this one.

Blake 5. Breck 3.

Hill Murray at Centennial

Hill Murray started the year slowly but they have strung together a nice unbeaten streak going 6-0-1 in their last 7 that culminated in a Kaposia Classic championship. They did have a VERY tough non conference schedule facing the likes of EP, Breck, Edina, and Wayzata. Senoir Katie Kaufman leads the way with 34 points.

Although their record isn’t what they would like it to be Centennial hasn’t shied away from competition. In the last 6 games Centennial has played Maple Grove, Andover, Edina, Proctor/Hermantown, Blake, and St. Paul United.

Hill Murray 5. Centennial 2.

Delano/Rockford at Mound Westonka

Delano is hovering just over .500 at 9-7 but of those seven losses six of them were by 1 goal. So don’t sleep on them!

Mound Westonka had not lost yet this year. Their record stands at 14-0-1. They have to lose at some point. It would probably serve them well in the long run to get a taste of losing so they don’t get too complacent.

Delano 3. Mound Westonka 2.
