Wayzata at Champlin Park/Coon Rapids

Champlin Park held a 1-0 lead after 1 period. Then Coach Scott reminded her Trojan team that they can’t just show up and go through the motions and expect to win. They still have to play and give an effort. So that’s what they did after the first intermission. Shots were 14-7 in the second and 16-0 in the third in favor of Wayzata.

Wayata 3. Champlin 1.

Centennial at Edina

This one was much closer than everyone but Centennial figured it would be. The Cougars can thank goalie Mackenna Stoterau for that. The game was tied at 0s after the first. Olivia Swaim opened up the scoring at 5:44 of the second with the assist going to Annie Keuhl. That would be all the scoring until Katie Davis sealed the Hornet victory with an empty netter with :01 remaining in the game. Tella Jungels on the assist. Edina goalie Ellie Strittmater with the 14 save shutout. That is three in a row for her.

Edina 2. Centennial 0.

Duluth Marshall at Grand Rapids/Greenway

Duluth Marshall put Grand Rapids in the hole early with Olivia Boettcher’s goal at :40 of the first period. Duluth Marshall would take that lead into the first intermission. Grand Rapids/Greenway’s Claire Vekich tied the game at 1s at 5:57 of the second. Boettcher would score her second of the game to give DM the lead once again. But Grand Rapids’ Sadie Peart would tie is once again before Claire Vekich score the game winner with just :05 to go in the second. There would be no scoring in the third allowing Grand Rapids to hold on for the win.

GR/G 3. Duluth Marshall 2.

Eden Prairie at Maple Grove

Eden Prairie held a 20-13 shot advantage through 2 periods yet found themselves down 0-2. Crimson goalie Lucy Morgan can have that effect. But Maple Grove opened the door for the Eagles by taking a late second period penalty that allowed EP to score a PP goal just :07 into the third. Maple Grove took another late period penalty in the third which allowed EP to tie it on a PP goal with just 1:03 remaining in the game. EP kept the momentum going in the OT period when Sydney Langseth scored the game winner.

Eden Prairie 3. Maple Grove 2.

East Grand Forks at Roseau

Nothing to see here, folks. Move along. Move along. Please disperse.

Roseau 9. East Grand Forks 0.

Shakopee at Rosemount

Shakopee found some offense! 6 goals and 43 shots last night. In 11 previous games they had never scored more than 3 goals in a game and only had scored 3 goals twice. So goals have been hard to come by. The Sabers’ Paige McNeil had 2 and 1, Chloe Everson had 2 goals, and Paige Peterson

Shakopee 6. Rosemount 3.

As of this writing there has no box score uploaded.
